Bill Squire Selected All-District at ENMU

Bill Squire has been selected "ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District 6" for their efforts during the 2010 season on the track and in the classroom. Squire was selected Lone Star Conference All-Academic last month. To be eligible for Academic All-District honors, student-athletes must carry at least a 3.30 grade point average and have reached sophomore status both athletically and academically. Members of the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-District teams are nominated by sports information directors from within the district, then voted on. Bill will advance to the national ballot. Squire, an animal and dairy science major with a minor in pre-veterinarian studies, Qualified for the NCAA Championships with an ENMU record 180'-8" hammer throw to place second at the Texas Tech Open and won the hammer throw at Tarleton State. He also won the shot put at the Lone Star Conference championships to earn All-LSC status and placed second in the hammer throw.(story and photo via Eastern Athletics)
